Sheraton Grand Warsaw Hotel

Studio Alliance member Reesco got tasked with modernising the Sheraton Grand Warsaw Hotel.

The renovation works which involved several hotel rooms, suites and common areas, were carried out with the hotel remaining open and fully functional.

The Sheraton Grand Warsaw Hotel refurbishment was part of a major multi-phase project, with the first part involving a complete renovation of the hotel lobby, two restaurants, and the first floor.

The second stage was to adapt 175 rooms, 29 suites, and the Presidential Suite and Sheraton Club Lounge to the new design. The brief also required coordinating all subcontractors and equipment suppliers.

As part of the work in the entrance hall, a new main lobby was built complete with service and technical facilities. The works included the complete dismantling and removal of the old interiors - the furniture, decorations, flooring, ceiling, and partition walls. At ground level, the Cucina Mia and inAzia restaurants were also rebuilt and given a new interior layout and design.

The Reesco team faced one major challenge when redeveloping the Sheraton Hotel; the building had to be kept fully open while construction works were carried out. During both project stages, the hotel continued to receive guests and host events as usual. This was achieved through a careful scheduling of the works so as not to disturb guests’ sleep or interfere with any event.

Following the completion of the Sheraton Hotel project in Warsaw, Reesco partnered with a team of specialists in the design and supervision of hotel and office interior projects – Iliard Architecture & Interior Design. At the request of the Sheraton’s investor, the Krakow-based firm consulted on possible cost optimisations for the original interior design project prepared by a UK-based studio. Following the completion of the Sheraton project, Iliard studio got incorporated into the Reesco Group with the creation of a separate company, Reesco Hospitality, which is dedicated to the design & build process for hotel and PRS facilities.
