DITT was commissioned with the complete renovation of the GRID office building in Utrecht, gaining the scheme an energy label A.
The building consists of 7 floors with approximately 5,730 sqm of lettable space and 105 parking spots.
DITT approached the brief holistically, placing the concept of the grid at the heart of their design. The façade reinforcements provide a completely new aesthetic to the building and its surroundings while the outdoor areas, new routing and state-of-the-art interiors create an experiential journey for all users.
The entrance hall was expanded and converted into a generous communal living area where people can feel at home and come together. The beautiful interiors are complemented by a combined reception inclusive of a “grab&go” bar and smart meeting rooms while the new entrance with its feature façade and shared outdoor areas provide the perfect opening into the building.
Sustainability was also a key element of the design, which includes green energy systems, smart office solutions, charging stations for the parking spaces and solar panels to reduce energy consumption.
