CAPEXUS transformed JRD’s Prague offices into a workplace where ecology and well-being take centre stage. Reflecting JRD’s values and sustainable ethos, the redesign brings together biophilic elements, eco-conscious materials, and a thoughtful spatial layout that supports comfort and productivity.
From moss walls to oak wood finishes, every design choice was made with the planet and people in mind. This harmony between sustainability and style creates an environment that not only looks good but actively supports employee health, focus, and tranquillity.
About the Project
Located in the AFI City building in Prague, JRD’s new offices reflect its environmental mission and commitment to health-conscious real estate. The renovation prioritised low-impact materials, indoor air quality, and aesthetic harmony with nature. Spread across 1030 m², the space offers a flexible and peaceful working environment in tune with JRD’s identity.
Scope of Work
- Biophilic Design: Integration of greenery, acoustic moss panels, and extensive use of natural oak wood to evoke calm and connection to nature.
- Custom Joinery and Materials: Furniture and fixtures made from recycled or upcycled materials, including cable spool tables and old scaffolding planks.
- Workplace Zoning: Carefully planned layouts separating quiet zones from dynamic spaces, supporting various work styles and moods.
- Employee Well-being: Design elements that promote mental wellness, comfort, and a sense of tranquillity.
Sustainability in Action
Sustainability wasn’t an afterthought; it was the design brief. CAPEXUS selected materials and furnishings based on their recyclability, environmental impact, and origin. Plants are not only decorative but functional, contributing to healthier indoor air and acoustics.
