Injecting raw character and creativity through industrial finishes and thoughtful workspace design.
CAPEXUS reimagined Dateio’s Prague offices by embracing an industrial aesthetic - highlighting exposed concrete, structural elements, and metal finishes, while creating a functional environment centred on flexibility, collaboration, and employee well‑being.
About the Project
Set in an existing building shell, the renovation covers approximately 912 sqm, in which structural features (beams, columns, ducts) were celebrated, not hidden. The goal? To foster creativity in a raw, honest space that connects people and process.
Scope of Work
- Exposed Structure - Concrete block walls, metal ducts, and stripped ceilings were deliberately left visible to reinforce an industrial character.
- Raw Materials Palette - A mix of untreated wood, steel, glass partitions, and polished concrete flooring brings texture and depth.
- Activity-Based Layout - Zoning includes open-plan team areas, private booths, collaborative lounges, and flexible meeting pods, supporting different work modes.
- Acoustic & Well‑Being Focus - Despite the raw finishes, comfort features such as greenery and smart lighting solutions were implemented.
Sustainability in Design
Material choices were guided by longevity and recyclability - steel, timber, and glass elements are durable and eco‑conscious. The transparent layout fosters natural daylight flow, reducing need for artificial lighting, while reduced finishes minimize embodied carbon.
Aesthetic & Cultural Impact
The aesthetic resonates with Dateio’s innovative spirit - tech meets industry. The industrial rawness is balanced by warm woods, plush soft zones, and intimate gathering spots, reflecting both corporate identity and employee comfort.
