Nilfisk’s new two-story office covers 400 + 800 m² in Budapest, located at the foot of the MOL Tower. DVM initially submitted a tender for the construction work, a success that led to full design responsibility, allowing the project to be completed under a design & build model.
The Danish company’s Hungarian headquarters, previously based in Inforpark in the 11th district, coordinates operations across much of the EU while production remains in Székesfehérvár. The new office brings teams together in one location, within a calm professional environment that reflects Nilfisk’s Danish lifestyle values and approach to workplace wellbeing.
A calm and connected environment
The office’s location on the sixth floor offers a panoramic view of the Danube and the Kopaszi Dam, adding to the quality of the workplace. Parts of the previous lease area, such as meeting rooms, glass walls and kitchen furniture, were retained as requested by the client, with updates made to align the interior design with Nilfisk’s brand identity.
As a distinctive feature, one of Nilfisk’s high-tech machines was placed within the office as a functional display piece, serving as the “jewel” of the Budapest workspace.
Challenges and achievements
The project introduced several technical challenges, including acoustic ceilings disguised as smooth plasterboard. DVM’s team managed these hidden complexities while maintaining the project’s aesthetic and functional standards.
Despite the obstacles, the project concluded successfully, with both client and tenant expressing full satisfaction with the result.
The project was completed through the collaboration of DVM's design, architecture and engineering teams, who delivered a cohesive and high-quality result. Both client and tenant expressed full satisfaction with the outcome.
