Construction is underway on 310,000 square metres of commercial office space which is due for delivery by the end of 2020. Recent commercial office development includes The Eight Building, a newly designed 75,000 sq ft Grade A space, which is part of the wider Newmarket Square regeneration project. Dublin’s tallest office structure, EXO Building, offers 16,025 square metres of LEED Gold office space, and work is set to begin on The Greenside Building, Dublin’s first “pandemic-proofed” office development. Once complete, the 37,000 square metre development will include touch-free access control devices, upgraded air-quality filtration systems, occupancy sensors, anti-bacterial surfaces and temperature-check sensors in the reception area.

Establishing itself as a centre for innovation and startups, Dublin is ranked 7th in the top 15 European cities for its start-up infrastructure, and the region’s Silicon Docks has attracted multinational firms and tech giants, including Google, Facebook and AirBnb, who employ a multicultural workforce of over 40,000 people between them, with 45% of the workforce born outside of Dublin.
