With 280 fountains, 900 churches and regal buildings steeped in history including the Vatican City, the Sistine Chapel and the Colosseum, the “Eternal City” of Rome is famous for its history, art, architecture and world-class food. A lesser known fact is the Romans invented the first initial concept of the office, with Ancient Rome creating its own business districts whereby shops, offices and government bureaus would surround large central squares.

Today, Rome benefits from a thriving tourism industry and attracts many businesses in the oil and gas and beauty and fashion industries.Rome might not have the same reputation for fostering innovative entrepreneurs as other European capitals, yet it is quickly becoming one of the Mediterranean’s hottest startup hubs.
